Birgitt Williams and Ward Williams created the Genuine Contact program and approach in the late 1990s. Since then, one or more components of Genuine Contact has been taught to thousands of people around the world, with more than 100 authorized trainers now conducting this work in the world. The people who have participated in this training make up the Genuine Contact Community and can self-select to become Co-Owners of the program. The Genuine Contact program and approach are underpinned by the Genuine Contact Way.
